Recover from upload failures
An upload can fail before transfer because of validation, or during transfer because the request did not complete.
Resolve a validation failure
- Read the message in the upload drawer.
- For an unsupported type, choose a format listed as supported in the current drawer.
- For a size error, reduce or split the file so it fits the displayed limit.
- If too many files were selected, remove items until the displayed maximum is met.
- If the file would exceed total storage, remove files from the batch or free capacity through an approved user-visible workflow, then select the corrected files again.
The storage row is shown only when DataFact returns a finite total allowance. A missing row does not prove that every upload will succeed; the service can still reject a request based on current server-side conditions.
Retry a transfer failure
- Keep successful items unchanged.
- Read the failed item's error.
- Select Retry for that item, or Upload Again when the drawer offers the batch action.
- Wait for a final state before closing the drawer.
Do not repeatedly retry without changing anything when the same error persists. Confirm network availability and the current file limits, then record the file name, size, time, and visible error for support. Do not send the file itself if it contains sensitive information unless the approved support process requires it.
