Create a channel

Channels register a supported messaging-platform robot so a General agent can be connected to it later.

Prerequisites

The Applications entry must be visible, you need corresponding permission, and you need credentials created in the selected messaging platform.

Create the channel

  1. Open Applications.
  2. Select Create.
  3. Enter a non-empty name and optionally a description.
  4. Select Slack, Telegram, DingTalk, or Feishu.
  5. Enter the provider credentials requested by the form. Obtain them from the app or bot configuration in the selected platform.
  6. Complete any additional provider-specific values shown by the form.
  7. Review the message-display switches.
  8. Save the channel.

Expected result

DataFact validates the request through the channel service and adds the new robot registration to the visible list after success. This does not connect an Agent automatically.

Important limitations

  • The current interface supports Slack, Telegram, DingTalk, and Feishu channels. Availability can still depend on workspace configuration.
  • Channel type cannot be changed after creation.
  • Credentials come from the external messaging platform; DataFact does not create them.
  • A provider identity already used by another registration can be rejected by the service.

Errors and recovery

If credential validation fails, compare every provider-specific value shown by the form with the external platform. If an app or bot identity is reported as used, do not create a duplicate registration.
