Resolve connection failures

A failed test can result from invalid fields, rejected credentials, an unreachable host, an unavailable resource, or a server-side error. The Web interface does not always distinguish these causes.

Check the form safely

  1. Read the exact visible failure message.
  2. Confirm the selected database type.
  3. Verify the host, port, database name, username, resource ID, and table filter values that apply to that type.
  4. Re-enter the password only if you intend to replace or correct it.
  5. Run Test Connection once more.

Do not post the password, connection string, or access token in a support request.

If the test succeeds but saving is unavailable

  • Wait for Schema choices to load.
  • Select at least one Schema.
  • Confirm that the form still shows Connection verified.

If the failure persists

Record the database display name, selected type, time, visible error, and whether the failure occurred during testing, Schema loading, saving, building, or deletion. Ask the appropriate workspace or database owner to verify network reachability and credential validity through the approved process.
