Upload files
The upload drawer accepts one or more local files. Supported extensions, maximum file count, per-file limits, and the current storage quota when available are shown in the drawer.
In the DataFact cloud environment, both tabular files and other supported files are currently limited to 200 MB per file. Always follow the value displayed in the drawer because limits can differ in another environment or a later release.
Upload files
- Open the target location in Document Library.
- Select Upload File.
- Review the supported formats and current limits.
- Select Select Files and choose one or more local files.
- Review each file name, size, and validation message.
- Remove unwanted items or select Clear to reset the list.
- Select Start Upload.
The dashed selection area is informational; use Select Files. Drag-and-drop upload is not part of the current verified Web interaction.
Expected result
Each item moves from waiting to uploading and then to success or failure. When all selected files succeed, the drawer closes after a short confirmation and the current library list refreshes.
Important rules
- Files with unsupported extensions or excessive size are rejected before upload.
- The selection is limited to the maximum count shown in the drawer.
- When DataFact returns a total storage allowance and current usage, the drawer shows Storage used used of total and prevents a selected batch that would exceed the remaining allowance.
- If total storage is unlimited or not supplied, the storage row is omitted. If the total is known but current usage is temporarily unavailable, used storage is displayed as
--and the browser does not guess a value. - Closing the drawer while an upload is active requests cancellation for the active items.
- Upload completion only adds the file to the library; downstream parsing or indexing is a separate workflow.
