View dataset details
Select a dataset name from the list to open its detail page. The page title is the dataset name.
Read the overview
The Project Description area shows the database connection, selected schemas, creation time, and description. If a database connection identifier is available, selecting its name opens the related database details.
The editable project-description text is separate from the dataset description shown in the overview. Change that text and select Save to update the dataset summary.
Navigate the page
The side navigation can contain:
- Project Description;
- Analysis Model, when that capability is available;
- a Knowledge Management group for eligible dataset versions; and
- other access-related areas when they are available to the current workspace.
Knowledge Management can include entities, entity relationships, business knowledge, general knowledge, and optimization examples. If an analysis model is bound, an eligible dataset's own knowledge remains visible but becomes read-only.
Conditional states
- Some sections depend on product capabilities, workspace type, dataset version, and corresponding access.
- Newer dataset versions can omit the dataset-level Knowledge Management group because knowledge is carried by an analysis model.
- A missing section is not evidence that data was deleted.
- If the detail request fails, use the back action and reopen the dataset after the service recovers.
