Respond to clarification requests

An Agent can pause a run when it needs information that cannot be safely inferred from your question. The clarification panel appears inside the current answer.

Respond to a request

  1. Read the active clarification question.
  2. Select one or more displayed options as instructed.
  3. If Other is available, select it and enter the missing detail.
  4. If several questions are shown, use the previous and next controls and answer each required item.
  5. Select Continue.

The panel prevents submission when the active question has no usable answer. For a free-text response, enter specific information rather than repeating the original question.

Skip a request

In an editable Session, the panel can provide Skip. Skipping sends no clarification answers and lets the Agent decide how to proceed. Use it only when you accept that the result may be less specific or may fail because required context is still missing.

In a read-only Session, response controls are not shown.

Expected result

After a successful submission, the Agent continues the same run. If the clarification reply is rejected or the connection fails, the panel remains available with an error so you can correct the answer and try again.

Common problems

  • Continue is unavailable: answer the active question; for Other, also enter text.
  • There are multiple questions: complete all of them before the final submission.
  • Your answer was rejected: read the inline error and revise the response; do not start a duplicate Session solely to bypass the clarification.
