Edit, lock, or delete an agent

Use Agent management actions to maintain configuration or remove an Agent you no longer need.

Edit an Agent

1. Open the Agent from the sidebar.
2. Open Configuration.
3. If the configuration is editable, update the available fields and save.

If the page presents details without a save action, the configuration is read-only in the current context.

Protect an Agent from deletion

1. Open Configuration.
2. Turn on the Locked switch.

Locking is deletion protection; it does not freeze Sessions or make every configuration field read-only. Turning the switch off requires confirmation.

Delete an Agent

1. Open the Agent workspace.
2. If the Agent is locked, unlock it and confirm the removal of deletion protection.
3. Select the delete action.
4. Confirm deletion.

After successful deletion, DataFact removes the Agent from the visible list and leaves its workspace. The current interface does not provide a restore action.

Important limitations

• Management actions appear only when you have corresponding permission.
• A Data agent's resource kind remains locked during editing.
• A workspace can make Agent configuration read-only even when the Agent is visible.
• Deleting an Agent is different from deleting an individual Session.

Errors and recovery

If deletion is unavailable, check whether the Agent is locked. If an update fails because a model or resource is no longer available, review the form, select current dependencies, and save again.
