An answer has no citation

1. Check the Agent type and linked resource. Document citations are most relevant to retrieval over Documents (Lite).
2. Confirm that the intended document processed successfully and remains linked to the Agent.
3. Ask a question that clearly names the document topic and required scope.
4. Review retrieval blocks when present to see whether source chunks were returned.
5. If the answer makes a consequential unsupported claim, verify it manually rather than treating the answer as sourced.

Not every valid response type includes a citation. SQL analysis, model-only conversation, tool output, and generated files can use other forms of evidence.
