Switch the active version
The active, or current, version is the version selected for model consumption. It is independent from the Latest label and from the version currently selected in a knowledge editor.
Activate a version
- Open Knowledge Versions.
- Locate a version with Completed status that is not already current.
- Select its Set as Current action.
- Read the confirmation dialog and confirm.
- Wait for success feedback and verify the Current badge and current-version card.
Created, preparing, building, and failed versions do not provide the activation action.
Before switching
- Review the version's baseline and source snapshot when details are available.
- Inspect important knowledge areas in that version.
- Test representative questions when your release process provides a safe validation path.
Activating a version changes the model pointer; it does not copy knowledge into other versions or change which version is selected in every open browser tab.
Errors and recovery
If activation fails, the previous current version remains authoritative. Refresh the version list before retrying, especially if another user could have changed the model.
