Cancel or resume a request

You can stop a queued or running response. DataFact also attempts limited automatic recovery when a recoverable stream is interrupted or when an unfinished saved response is reopened.

Cancel active work

1. While the response is waiting or running, select Cancel response.
2. Wait for the answer area to show the canceled state.

Cancellation applies to the current response. It does not delete the Session or earlier messages. If cancellation fails, DataFact shows Failed to cancel. Try again. Confirm the current state before retrying.

Recover interrupted work

If the connection is interrupted, keep or reopen the same Session. DataFact can automatically continue a recoverable response from its saved progress. There is no universal manual Resume button in the Web Session workspace.

Automatic recovery is not unlimited and is not guaranteed for every failure. When recovery cannot complete, the response surfaces an error.

Start again safely

Before submitting a replacement question:

1. confirm that the previous response is canceled or failed, not still running;
2. preserve any visible error details; and
3. narrow or correct the question if the failure indicates a content problem.
